A 20KW SolarEdge system has been installed on Park Community School in Havant as part of an ongoing commitment by Hampshire County Council.

The system was installed to the high standards set out in the HCC Solar PV specification. This requires the system to be linked directly with the fire alarm system so that all solar power and live cabling are shut down as soon as the fire alarm is activated. This makes the system completely safe for firefighters to tackle any blaze, without the risk of encountering high voltages on the roof. The system is also remotely monitored and set up with feed-in tariff metering that can be read directly from the monitoring portal.
